Goliath would say,
if he was here to speak
he's proud of how we crush
the folks beneath our feet
Goliath would laugh,
as we've known him to do
but Goliath was raised
to be nobody's fool
So Goliath would warn,
For Goliath does know
Beware of the slingshot
And beware of the stones
Goliath would warn,
If he was here to speak
Beware of your tiniest
Enemy.

[-----] Ariadne

I saw god once, so alone, so dark
In the light of the sun, a shadow
Of a dream, a fear of a child who
Tries to reach him, to let him know
But god cannot be reached, not ever
For his stature remains forever too
Far from us, this god is alone and
Dark, cold and solemn, harsh and so
Uncaring, god standing black and empty
Against the sky where the sun shines.

[-----] Ben Perry

How can I reach what's not meant to be?
How can I touch? All I have here is me.
The statue, laughing, taunting in rock,
Bearing its stare at me, only to mock.
That I'm all alone, that I'm but afraid
That nothing will make my loneliness fade.

[-----] Colin Briggs

I once had a dream of tall people
People-if they were really that
Promised me great things
Only to send me
With my arms flailing
Back to this earth
A place I'm not to sure If I belong to
