All of the art in this issue has graciously been provided by Helyn Davenport. Helyn is a Photographic Artist who draws upon years of photographic expertise and recent advances in technology to create surreal artistic pieces. With this combination, her art is able to convey more than just a scene; it is infused with emotion, the intangible given form.

In the small selection of her online gallery sampled in this issue we tried to include pieces that provided views into Helyn's soul: pieces that carried strong emotional tones and perhaps some insight into the journey of the self that Helyn so fluently affects in her work.

Born and bred in Florida, Helyn attended St. Petersburg College where she studied Pyschology and Business. She has a unique background which includes musical and dance influences from her parents, television production, marketing, and counseling experience, and her own artistic talents.
