RUSTLINGS of the WIND Submission Guidelines |
|
So you want to get published, eh? Well here's how it works. Read this page; at the bottom of this page there is a link to the email address to send your stuff to. We accept original poetry (any length), original short prose (stories, happenings, observations, fiction, fact), and original pictures. We tend to prefer things that are dark and of the heart (that's dark, not evil). You, the author, retain all copyrights and ownership rights to your work. You are simply giving us permission to present your work. We make no money off this publication. Zero. Zilch. Nada. This page is completely maintained through volunteer work. As a result, there is no money to distribute to those talented individuals whose work we publish. We reserve the right to not publish any given piece. (Read: "Don't expect to be published just because you submitted something.") Transcripts should be sent via email. They can be sent as MIME attachments or as the body of the email. File formats accepted (via MIME attachments) are plain ASCII text (.TXT), MS Word 95/6.0 (.DOC), and Rich Text Format (.RTF). If you wish to send your piece in a different file format, check with us first. Please send only one item per email. Multiple items are accepted, even encouraged, however we generally will not publish more than two items from a single author in the same issue. If you have many pieces you would like to contribute, we suggest you spread them out across multiple issues in 2's or 3's. Submissions should be sent to winded@xephyrus.com. Thank you for your interest! You will receive a notification as soon as a real person has seen your submitted work. When a decision has been made regarding your piece, you will receive notification of what that decision is. Don't expect this until the new issue is about to be released.
