Strange World
by Justin Foley
How strange it is
To see a world where
No one is truthful,
Where no one cares

How strange it is
To see a world where
Rumors fly like
Pidgeons with
Broken wings

How strange it is
To see a world where
People cheat to get
Their desires, to
Manipulate to gain
Something that they can
Never hold on to

How strange it is
To see a world where
Emotions and guilt
Are King and Queen,
Rulers in their own
Right

How strange it is
To see a world where
Strangers laugh and dance
In the shadows
Of a broken heart

How strange it is
To see a world where
Those people are not
Strangers, but friends

How strange it is
To see a world that
Houses these friends,
These strangers…

Whom you can no longer
Find solace in
