Poem #1 - St. Joseph's Abbey
by Stephen Sleboda

What fills with small stars
     barely visible.
Why caresses the back
     of a cloud.
Where gleams with
     brilliance of snowy crystals.
When pure as sparkling water
     quenches a desert thirst.
Who is unable to question
     these statements
  made of wind and bone.
